Brief
The financial group needed a robust system for proactive risk detection and risk planning across all of its processes, covering the staff involved and incident management, with reporting that gives managers and directors the feedback they need to plan mitigation.
Description
Over seven years (2015–2023) we analyzed, designed, built, launched and maintained the operational and non-discretionary risk management platform for Grupo Financiero Mifel, built on .NET and integrated with the Oracle core banking system.
Technologies: Oracle DB, C# .NET, Spring, Web development, ETL tools, Agile – Kanban, Integration with Oracle core banking, GCP architecture
Outcome
The risk and incident reporting platform is available to 300 offices in Mexico and the USA and 2,000 employees. It enabled compliance with regulatory reports, controls and regulations, translated into action plans with quantifiable business impact by reducing losses. The mathematical impact/frequency models we implemented reduced costs from materialized risks by at least 70% per year compared with the years before the tool.
